Remembering Daniel Geddes
Discover the story of Daniel Geddes, a remarkable individual whose infectious spirit touched many. We honour his memory and continue his legacy by raising awareness for SUDEP.

Daniel's infectious spirit
Daniel lived with epilepsy and a learning disability, but these never defined him. He possessed an infectious smile and a personality that brightened every room. To all who knew him, Daniel was a true friend, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and joy. His ability to connect with people was remarkable, making everyone feel valued and seen.

About Daniel
Daniel was a beloved member of the Black & White family, involved as a staff member, an LDSL player, a club partner, and a lifelong supporter. His familiar face brought joy to many across the club, and his passing has left an unfillable hole in our community.
Daniel and his family have been part of our club for almost two decades. His infectious personality and passion for all things Hull FC and Rugby League meant he was known and loved by staff, players, and supporters alike.

His enduring legacy
Daniel was a key member of the club’s Learning Disability Super League side, one of the very first members following its inception in 2019. He proudly earned LDSL Heritage Number #2 and played alongside his brother Martin for five years. He also volunteered with the club’s retail team for many years, dedicating his spare time to supporting off-field staff and bringing smiles to customers' faces.
We hope to ensure Daniel's legacy lives on and is never forgotten. Through this fundraising effort, we aim to raise awareness of SUDEP and reduce avoidable deaths, making a tangible difference in his memory.
